Parasitic

An undesirable electrical component or effect that arises unintentionally in an electronic circuit or device due to its physical construction. Examples include parasitic capacitance, inductance, and resistance, which can degrade performance at high frequencies. These effects become more pronounced as operating frequencies increase and component sizes shrink.
