nMOS
Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-003906
A type of metal-oxide-semiconductor field-effect transistor (MOSFET) where the current is carried by electrons, which are the majority carriers. In an nMOS transistor, a positive voltage applied to the gate turns the device on, creating a conductive channel between the source and drain. This technology was widely used in early integrated circuits.
