A type of long-handled pruning shear designed for cutting thicker branches than hand pruners can manage. Their extended handles provide greater reach and mechanical advantage, allowing for the removal of branches up to two inches in diameter with less effort. Loppers are commonly used in horticulture for maintaining trees and shrubs.
