Lug

A projection or tab on a component designed for attachment, support, or to provide a gripping surface. In electrical contexts, a lug is a metal connector crimped or soldered onto a wire to facilitate a secure connection to a terminal or busbar. Wheel lugs are threaded fasteners that secure a wheel to a vehicle's hub, typically tightened to a specific torque specification.
