Lugnut

A fastener, specifically a nut, used to secure a wheel to threaded wheel studs on a vehicle's axle, thereby attaching the tire and wheel assembly to the hub. Lugnuts have a tapered or rounded end that centers the wheel and provides a secure fit against the mounting surface.
