Jack nut

A blind fastener designed for use in thin, soft, or brittle materials where a conventional nut would pull through or crack the substrate. It consists of a flanged, internally threaded rivet that collapses to form a large bearing surface on the blind side when installed. This type of fastener provides strong, vibration-resistant threads in applications like plastic panels or fiberglass.
