A historical size of printing type, approximately equivalent to 7 points in the modern point system. It was situated between Nonpareil (6 points) and Brevier (8 points) in the traditional hierarchy of type sizes used in letterpress printing. Before the standardization of the point system in the late 19th century, European and American foundries used these traditional names to identify their type sizes, though the exact physical dimensions varied slightly by founder.
