Nitrous

A common abbreviation for nitrous oxide, a chemical compound used as an oxidizer in internal combustion engines to increase power output. When injected into the engine's intake, it provides more oxygen for combustion, resulting in a temporary boost in horsepower. It is also used as an anesthetic in medical and dental fields.
