Noddy
Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-007134
A small, self-propelled railcar used for track inspection, light maintenance, or transporting small crews. These vehicles are characterized by their simple design and limited capacity, making them efficient for tasks that do not require a full-sized train. The term is also a colloquial nickname for the automated, driverless trains on London's Docklands Light Railway, which appear to nod as they travel over track points.
