Node
Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-003910
A point in an electrical circuit where two or more components, such as resistors, capacitors, or transistors, are joined. Every connection point between components constitutes a node, which is assumed to have a single, uniform voltage at any instant. Kirchhoff's Current Law, a foundational principle of circuit analysis, states that the algebraic sum of currents entering and leaving any node is zero.
