Any active electronic device attached to a network, capable of sending, receiving, or forwarding information. In a computer network, nodes can be endpoints like personal computers and servers, or networking hardware like routers, switches, and hubs that manage data flow. Each node on a TCP/IP network is identified by at least one unique IP address.
