Exit node

The final relay in a circuit of anonymizing network connections, such as those used by Tor, through which encrypted traffic exits the network and connects to its destination on the public internet. This node is the point where the user's IP address becomes visible to the destination server. The security and privacy of the user depend on the integrity of the exit node.
