Static IP address

A permanent, unchanging Internet Protocol address assigned to a device on a network, rather than one that is dynamically allocated. This address remains constant each time the device connects to the network, providing a consistent identifier for network services. Static IP addresses are often used for servers, network printers, or other devices that require reliable and predictable accessibility from other network hosts.
