Address bus

A collection of parallel electrical conductors within a computer system that transmits memory addresses from the central processing unit (CPU) or other devices to main memory or input/output peripherals. The width of the address bus determines the maximum amount of physical memory that the system can access. A 32-bit address bus can access 2^32 unique memory locations.
