Multiprocessor

A computer system containing two or more central processing units (CPUs) that share access to a single main memory and peripherals, enabling parallel processing. In industrial applications, these systems execute multiple tasks simultaneously, such as controlling machinery while processing sensor data for quality control. Multiprocessor architectures are classified by how memory is shared, including Uniform Memory Access (UMA) and Non-Uniform Memory Access (NUMA) systems.
