Oatlage
Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-007140
A type of silage made from the entire oat plant, harvested at the soft dough stage before the grain is fully mature. The chopped forage is fermented under anaerobic conditions, preserving its nutritional value for use as livestock feed. This process results in a high-moisture, palatable feed that provides both fiber and energy for ruminant animals like cattle and sheep.
