Old rose

A classification of rose varieties that existed before 1867, the year the first Hybrid Tea rose, 'La France', was introduced. These roses are known for their strong fragrance, disease resistance, and often repeat blooming. Examples include Alba, Gallica, Damask, and China roses, which form the genetic basis for many modern rose cultivars.
