Pedipulator

A walking mechanism that gives a robot or vehicle the ability to move on legs, and by extension a machine built with such legs. The term was used for General Electric's 1965 Walking Truck, a four-legged vehicle in which the operator's own arm and leg movements were coupled to hydraulically driven legs. The single prototype weighed about 3,000 pounds and never exceeded 5 miles per hour.
