The Y-Duct, a component of an aircraft's air intake system that splits the incoming airflow into two separate paths. It is commonly found on single-engine fighter jets with a single intake under the fuselage, where it divides the air to feed a twin-engine configuration or to bypass the fuselage structure. The internal surfaces of the Y-Duct are designed to manage airflow with minimal turbulence and pressure loss before it reaches the engine compressor face.
