Pie crust collar
Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-004299
A high collar trimmed with an even ruffle shaped like a fluted pie crust. The frill is made by gathering or pleating a narrow strip of fabric and sewing it to the neckband of a blouse or dress, so that it forms a soft ruffle around the neck. It differs from a jabot, a ruffle that hangs down the front of the bodice instead of encircling the neck.
