Slab line
Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-005334
A type of planar transmission line used for guiding electromagnetic waves at microwave frequencies, consisting of a central conductor slab between two larger ground planes. The central conductor is supported by a dielectric material, and the structure's geometry determines its characteristic impedance and propagation characteristics. Unlike microstrip, the slab line's fields are almost entirely contained between the ground planes, which minimizes radiation loss.
