Split slab
Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-005541
A two-layer concrete slab system where a structural slab supports a separate, non-structural topping slab, with a waterproofing membrane installed between them. This construction method allows for drainage and protects the structural slab from moisture intrusion. The top slab can be sloped to direct water to drains, preventing ponding on the waterproofed surface.
