Speaking
Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-005506
The unwanted transfer of an electrical signal from one conductor or circuit to another, a form of crosstalk. This phenomenon occurs when the electromagnetic field of a signal-carrying wire induces a current in an adjacent wire, causing interference or noise. In telecommunications and audio systems, a circuit is considered 'speaking' if its signal is audible on a separate, unintended line.
