Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-005579
A set of greenhouse gas emissions scenarios, detailed in the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) Special Report on Emissions Scenarios published in 2000. These scenarios project future emissions based on different assumptions about demographic, economic, and technological development, without including new climate change mitigation policies. The SRES families (A1, A2, B1, B2) were used in climate modeling for the IPCC's Third and Fourth Assessment Reports.
