Suit of dittoes

A man's suit from the 18th or 19th century consisting of a coat, waistcoat, and trousers all made from the same fabric. This style marked a departure from the earlier practice of wearing breeches and coats of contrasting materials and colors. The ditto suit became a standard for informal daywear and business attire by the mid-1800s, evolving into the modern business suit.
