Tank car

A type of railway freight car designed to transport liquids, gases, or powdered materials in bulk. The car consists of a cylindrical tank mounted on a wheeled underframe. Tank cars are classified by the type of product they carry and their construction standards, such as DOT-111 or DOT-105.
