Walk policy

A standard procedure in the hospitality industry for handling an overbooked situation where a guest with a confirmed reservation cannot be accommodated. The hotel that is overbooked arranges and pays for a room at a comparable nearby hotel, a practice known as "walking the guest." The policy also typically covers the cost of transportation to the alternate hotel and a phone call.
