Hotel load

The electrical power required to operate all auxiliary systems and services on a vessel, aircraft, or train, excluding propulsion. This includes lighting, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, galley equipment, and other onboard amenities. The hotel load can represent a substantial portion of the total power demand, particularly on passenger ships.
