Yoctomole
Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-006717
An SI unit for an amount of substance, defined as one septillionth of a mole, or 10⁻²⁴ mol. This quantity is so small that it represents a statistical probability of less than one particle, as a single mole contains approximately 6.022 × 10²³ entities. The yoctomole is a theoretical construct used in contexts like single-molecule spectroscopy and advanced chemical analysis where calculations involve extremely minute quantities of a substance, far below what can be physically measured or manipulated.
