Zeppelin

A type of rigid airship, characterized by a rigid internal framework that maintains its shape, unlike non-rigid blimps. These airships were historically powered by internal combustion engines and filled with lighter-than-air gases, typically hydrogen. Developed by Count Ferdinand von Zeppelin in the early 20th century, they were primarily used for passenger transport and military reconnaissance before the Hindenburg disaster in 1937.
