Dirigible

A lighter-than-air aircraft that can be steered and propelled through the air, unlike free-floating balloons. It consists of a large envelope filled with a lifting gas, such as helium or hydrogen, and an attached gondola for crew, passengers, and cargo. Early dirigibles were rigid, featuring an internal framework, while modern blimps are non-rigid with gas contained by the outer skin.
