Director

A parasitic element in a Yagi-Uda antenna that is shorter than the driven element and placed in front of it in the direction of maximum radiation. Its purpose is to further concentrate the electromagnetic field, increasing the antenna's gain and directivity. A typical Yagi antenna can have multiple director elements.
