Red hydrogen
Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-007199
Hydrogen produced through a process that uses fossil fuels, typically natural gas, with carbon capture and storage (CCS) technology to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. This method aims to mitigate the environmental impact of traditional gray hydrogen production. The captured carbon dioxide is then stored underground, preventing its release into the atmosphere.
