Zombie car
Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-006735
A car model that stays on sale new for years after its design has aged or its production has formally ended, usually because the maker keeps building a low-cost version or dealers still hold unsold stock. Because such cars were never titled to a first owner, they are still sold as new vehicles even when several model years old.
