Constructive notice

Legal presumption that a person has knowledge of a fact, even if they do not have actual knowledge, because the fact is publicly available or could have been discovered through reasonable diligence. In insurance, this can apply to policy terms or conditions that are legally published or filed. It differs from actual notice, which is direct communication.
