Contractor's limitation endorsement

An addition to a general liability or excess policy that restricts coverage for operations performed for the insured by independent contractors or subcontractors. This endorsement modifies the policy to exclude or limit liability arising from the work of others, shifting more risk back to the policyholder. The endorsement may require the insured to obtain specific minimum liability limits from its subcontractors as a condition of coverage.
