Controlled insurance program (CIP)

A single insurance program, also known as a wrap-up, that covers all parties involved in a large construction project, including the owner, general contractor, and subcontractors. A CIP (Controlled Insurance Program) centralizes workers' compensation and general liability coverage, aiming to reduce overall costs and improve safety. It can be either an owner-controlled insurance program (OCIP) or a contractor-controlled insurance program (CCIP).
