Free alongside FAS

An Incoterm specifying that a seller fulfills their delivery obligation when goods are placed alongside the buyer's designated vessel at the named port of shipment. Under Free Alongside Ship (FAS) terms, the seller is responsible for all costs and risks until that point, including export clearance. The buyer assumes responsibility for the costs and risks of loss or damage from the moment the goods are alongside the ship, including loading charges and ocean freight.
