Fundamental risk

A peril that affects a large number of people or a broad segment of society simultaneously, rather than an individual or a small group. These risks are typically impersonal in origin and consequence, arising from societal, economic, or natural forces beyond individual control. Examples include earthquakes, floods, inflation, and widespread unemployment.
