Noninsurable risk

A risk that does not meet the fundamental criteria for insurability, making it difficult or impossible for insurers to provide coverage. Characteristics of noninsurable risks include catastrophic potential, lack of definable loss, moral hazard, or adverse selection. War, market fluctuations, and changes in fashion are examples.
