Prohibited risk

A type of exposure or activity that an insurer will not underwrite or provide coverage for, due to its high potential for loss, moral hazard, or legal restrictions. These risks fall outside the insurer's risk appetite or underwriting guidelines. Examples include illegal activities, certain hazardous occupations, or properties in areas prone to catastrophic events.
