Garment contractors floater

A type of inland marine insurance that covers the property of a garment manufacturer while it is in the possession of contractors or subcontractors for processing, such as cutting or sewing. The policy protects against loss or damage to raw materials, goods in process, and finished garments during transit to and from the contractor and while on the contractor's premises. Coverage is written on an all-risks or named-perils basis, depending on the policy form.
