Integrated project delivery IPD
Term · Insurance and risk management · MLC-T-INS-001881
A construction project delivery method that contractually unites the owner, architect, and contractor as a team from the early design stages. In integrated project delivery (IPD), all three parties share the risks and rewards of the project's outcome, governed by a multi-party agreement. This collaborative structure contrasts with traditional design-bid-build models, where the owner contracts separately with the designer and builder, creating distinct phases and potential for conflict.
