Joint annuity
Term · Insurance and risk management · MLC-T-INS-001928
An annuity contract that makes payments to two or more individuals, with payments ceasing entirely upon the death of the first annuitant. This differs from a joint and survivorship annuity, which continues payments to the survivor. It provides a higher payout rate than a survivorship annuity but carries the risk of income loss for the surviving annuitant.
