Original age conversion
Term · Insurance and risk management · MLC-T-INS-002437
A feature in some life insurance policies that allows the policyholder to convert a term life policy to a permanent life policy using the insured's age at the time the original term policy was issued. This conversion method results in higher cash values and lower premiums than if the conversion were based on the insured's current age. It preserves the underwriting class from the initial policy.
