Revocable beneficiary

A designated recipient of life insurance policy proceeds whose designation can be changed by the policyholder at any time without the beneficiary's consent. The policy owner retains full control over the policy, including the right to alter or remove the beneficiary. This contrasts with an irrevocable beneficiary, whose consent is required for changes.
