Schedule rating

A method of adjusting an insurance premium based on specific characteristics of the insured risk that are not fully reflected in the standard rating classifications. Underwriters apply debits or credits to the manual premium based on factors like management quality, premises maintenance, or safety programs. This modification is typically applied within a defined percentage range, such as plus or minus 25%.
