Self rating
Term · Insurance and risk management · MLC-T-INS-003052
A method of determining workers' compensation premiums for very large employers where the premium is primarily based on the employer's own historical loss experience, rather than industry averages. This approach is often used in conjunction with retrospective rating or self-insurance programs. It reflects the belief that a sufficiently large employer's past losses are predictive of future losses.
