Two-factor authentication
Term · Insurance and risk management · MLC-T-INS-003390
A security process that requires users to provide two different authentication factors to verify their identity. This method adds an extra layer of security beyond a single password, typically combining something the user knows (like a password) with something the user has (like a phone or hardware token) or something the user is (like a fingerprint). It significantly reduces the risk of unauthorized access even if one factor is compromised.
