Advance sheets

Pamphlets containing the most recently decided cases of a particular court or jurisdiction, printed shortly after the decisions are rendered. These softcover booklets provide lawyers and judges with access to new case law before the official, hardbound reporters are published and compiled. Once a sufficient number of advance sheets are collected, they are replaced by a single, permanently bound volume of the official reporter series.
